Gosh, I feel like the only one on the planet who isn’t at RWA in NY.
Okay, that’s a slight over-exaggeration. But still.
Twitter’s a bit more quiet than normal. The writing loop emails are fewer and farther between.
I’ve gone to national writing conferences before, and they’re a blast. I’m totally sad I didn’t get to go, but next year! Can’t wait. It’s closer to my neck of the woods so I’m super excited.
What I get most out of conferences are the connections with other writers. Face to face, anyway. I have a lot of contacts online, and that’s freaking awesome, but to put a face and a smile to the web identity (and not just a profile pic) it’s WAY fun!
And, it reminds me that I’m not alone in this. Other people are going through or have gone through what I might be experiencing.
That’s priceless.
So, to all who are in NY, I hope you are having a blast. And I hope you post tons of pictures and descriptions of your experience!!
when it comes nearer to you next year, is it close enough for you to ride your bike?

I didn’t go either. And, hearing from friends that are there and are having a great time makes me want to be there too. How close will you be next year?

Wish you had been there, Lynn. It was great and I hope to see you at a conference some day so we can have dinner or something and yak our heads off.
