For life…

It’s funny how we’re talking about best school friends. My 20th class reunion was this month.

I wasn’t able to attend but since Facebook has made its mark on the world, I almost felt like I was there with all the pictures posted.

It made me wish I would have been able to go.

Maybe in 2020. **oh, that’s weird to think**

I had a best friend growing up. I’ve known her since we turned one year old! So, that’s a long time.

We were tight as tight could be…until high school.

Blasted high school.

We fell out of touch for whatever reason but caught back up during college. We made amends for whatever we’d done or let happen between us and vowed to stay in touch.

And we still do. Mostly via facebook and email, but still. I would have LOVED to see her at the reunion to catch up in person.

You can be sure that when I got my book deal and it started early releasing…she was on my email list for sure.

I wouldn’t be who I am today having not met Lori and become lifetime friends with her.

Who’s helped shape your life?

  1. Sounds like you had a great group of friends. I wish you could’ve gone as well but thank God for Facebook- it helps us be part of an event even if we can’t be there.

Last year at the ‘all-years’ reunion of my former high school, several of those in attendance later posted pix on FB. Let me tell you, it was a struggle to recognize some of those folks after 42 years! But there were also several who I’d recognize anywhere, anytime.
There’s another ‘all-years’ reunion this year in Oct, I think. But I doubt I can make it. It’s something like 1100 miles each way. I don’t travel so well anymore … especially not that kind of distance.

Aahh, reunions. This year should have been my 25th (too long to go into detail on why it’s not happening this year), but we’re going to crash the class of ’87’s next year. It’ll be more fun that way so I can have fun with both of my BFF’s.
