This week we’re supposed to talk about the bad stuff we got into back in those good ol’ school days. I’ve got a problem here. I was a goody-goody who hung out with other goody-goodies. Which also means my dating life sucked. Okay, I did get asked to junior prom by a classmate. Oh, and he was a goody-goody too. Which meant the end of the evening closed with a hug. Maybe a kiss on the cheek. I can’t remember. He was a nice enough guy, but I felt no chemistry. Then again, I probably wouldn’t have recognized chemistry outside of Mrs. Moore’s 2nd period class if it blew up in my face.
I suppose kept my nose squeaky clean because of all that baton twirling stuff. (Had to keep the shoes squeaky clean too. Judges will mark you off for that stuff in a heartbeat.) Oh, and I had an older sister who’d gotten in plenty of trouble for all three of us girls. I saw the results of that and did not want to go there.
Then I went to college. 😀
I don’t recall flashing anyone for one of those “Girls Gone Wild” videos, but I can’t guarantee that I didn’t. I’m pretty sure I didn’t. Wait….nah.
Let me just put it this way, anyone who pays one iota of attention to college football has a definite opinion of the University of Miami Hurricanes of the ’80’s. My freshman year of college, Miami was voted the #2 party school according to Playboy magazine. I attended Miami from ’86 to ’90. I’ll let you fill in the blanks. Mostly because I can’t. I don’t remember. Well, some bits I could share, but there’d be quite a few cohorts of mine that would be very upset. Not because I’d out them as being one of the guilty parties. No, they be more upset that they’d lose their material to blackmail me with if I spilled the beans myself. Hmm, I wonder if that’s why so many celebs come out with their tell-alls. Maybe they figure the book deals save them from having to pay off all those people they’ve had to pay off to keep quiet for several years. Anyhow, let’s just say that Miami was a great party school with a very hefty cover charge.
Bad Girl or Goody-Goody, I’ve been both.
