Happy Valentine’s Day- My Favorite Sappy Love Song

My favorite sappy love song is from a movie that came out when I was a teen. I think the movie was super fun and the video for this song is, too.

By the way, I have a short story out for this Valentine’s Day called The Coroner’s Heart and the tag line is Making a Valentine’s Day candy heart from Jello is easy for this coroner, performing an autopsy on a real heart is even easier, but what happens when her own heart is at risk?

It can be ordered here: http://www.stillmomentspublishing.com

Now I would’ve thought you’d pick Hopelessly Devoted to You…now that was a sappy song, LOL But yeah, I do love that movie and I sing along with Summer Nights every chance I get.

Grease was an enjoyable film. Full of energy and rather inventive choreography.

Congrats on your new release short story!

Oh yeah, Travolta makes any song catchy when he dances.

  5. I love every song in that movie. I probably know all the words. My only problem with any of those songs is when the cute little baton twirlers twirl to the unedited version of Greased Lightning. It just doesn’t seem right. Hopelessly Devoted to You is probably my all time favorite. Great post.

Hey wait! I’ve choreographed some of those cute little baton twirling routines! But yes, you’re right when you actually listen to the lyrics, it does seem so wrong! (You weren’t in eastern NC in 1997 by any chance, were you?) The tempo is perfect for a dance twirl routine which is why you see so many of those cutie pies using it.

I do love me some Grease! I must have worn out that album playing it all the time, wishing I was Olivia Newton John. And yes, John Travolta certainly has the moves. I want to see him do a guest appearance on Dancing with The Stars.

Congratulations on the short story and your release last week!
