V is for Violent Femmes

The A-Z challenge is almost over. Well, for me it is over. I had a lot of fun trying to find bands/musicians for my days and I hope I’ve been able to play songs for you that you’ve never heard of before.

Today is V and there were a couple of options I toyed with before finally going with Violent Femmes. They were a band I discovered in the early 90s and really enjoy listening to when I’m in the mood.

This song is called “Blister in the Sun”. It was on the Grosse Point Blank soundtrack (one of my favorite movies ever) which gave it a resurgence in popularity.

Thanks for tagging along on my musical journey! Hope you enjoy today’s offering.

About danicaavet

Danica Avet lives and writes in the wilds of South Louisiana. Unmarried with no children, she's the proud pet of two cats and a dog. With a BA in History, she decided there were enough fry cooks in the world and tried her hand at writing. Danica loves losing herself in the antics of her characters and blushes more often than not at the things they do. She likes to define her work as paranormal romance with a touch of Cajun spice, but most times her characters turn the notch up to "five-alarm fire"!

LOL I saw the title of this post and immediately thought, “It must be Danica’s day.” LOVE IT. This has been fun. Thanks to all of you Foxes and your Hound for a fun trip through the alphabet.

Danica, it has been really interesting that you chose music from your personal favorites in the past for your ‘letter’ days.
    A fun twist!
