Z is for ZZZZZoo!

(BuZZer sounding)

What?  Huh?  Blog?  (Leaps out of bed)  I’m up.  I’m awake!

Thanks to the lovely Jillian Chantal for my wake-up blog call!  Now on to what I was really going to post…

Z is for Zoo.  As in where I feel like I live.  As in what my week was like last week.  Wild, ferocious beasts waiting to pounce.  Small people taunting me from behind the protective barrier.  In other words, business as usual.

Seriously though, I like the Zoo.  I haven’t been to one in a while, but it’s on my list of places to take my kids this summer.  And every time I think of the Zoo and the letter Z, naturally I think of one animal in particular…

I think of Zebras and I hear Chris Rock.  As a matter of fact, I can hear my whole blog post in Chris Rock’s voice.  You can’t read the rest of this and not hear Chris Rock.  Either that or this is what you start picturing.

Cute! And yeah, your life is sometimes a zoo! LOL! Love this movie- especially the lemurs! You know I have a published story with a bar called The Psychic Lemur, right?

Which one? The Gambler? I’d better speed up on that To Be Read pile. Any book with a bar called The Psychic Lemur has got to be good! I wish this little video had more of King Julian, but hey, I should just go watch the whole movie. 🙂

  2. Well, we didn’t zzzzzz through this month’s blog offerings, People!
You were up to the challenge!
I WONDERED what ‘Z’ would be….good choice…I just dropped my grandgirlies off with their father,( I still have the other son’s boy with me for a while), and I said,”I made the mistake of going to the store with these monkeys!” Micki, want to compare zoos? LOL!
Nobody felt up to ‘X’ huh?

    • Micki Gibson says:

Oh, the store with the monkeys. Definitely not in my list of top ten things I enjoy doing. I wished the mother’s curse on mine after one particular hair pulling trip to the grocery store. I’m pretty sure that’s when my mother bestowed the curse upon me and my sisters. The one that says, “I hope when you grow up that you have children who act the same way that you act!” The curse only works if it’s accompanied by the appropriate choreography….namely a finger being wagged at each offtending monkey!
Not sure what happened to X. Hope no one dropped a Looney Tunes-style boulder on the spot which X marked. Mabye she’s having an X-ray or too busy playing the Xylophone. Maybe some algebra student was told to find X and happened to find our X and took it with him to class. Maybe I need to cut back on the sugar. 🙂
