Spring with me

“Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems.”  ~Rainer Maria Rilke

Spring !

Yes, I’ve gotta say it’s my favourite season, and as the northern hemisphere prepares for the wonderful part of the year, I will enviously welcome autumn in Oz.

I love spring – the various colours of the season, the blossoming of flowers and trees, the smell of spring in the air,  people coming out of their houses like they’ve been hibernating, the birds singing in the morning (though I could strangle them when they find their voice at 5am in the morning), the washing can be hung out again to dry, AND light in the morning when I get up!

And because I cannot think of anything else, I’ll treat you with Westlife’s Season in the sun – one of my favourite bands, and my muse to write my stories 😉

About Iris B

Iris Blobel writes warm, sexy, and sometimes witty Australian Contemporary Romance books for readers who, like herself, still strongly believe in love and Happily Ever Afters. And she knows HEAs. Her couples are hungry for life, done with the past, passionate about family, and emotionally hopeful for a future. The stories are mainly set in Australia but also in New Zealand and even the US, depending on where her travels take her. She loves nothing more than for her readers to join her on her journeys.

  1. Spring is taking its time with quite a few false starts where I am, Iris. It’s true,I am enjoying seeing t re-greening and early flowers, but I admire you going into Autumn, my favorite season!

I wish I could listen to music when I write. I just start to write out the lyrics.

I love that song, but I prefer the version that was on the radio in the early 70s. Can’t recall the artist. That said, this version is pretty good too.
    Are you flying yet, Iris?
