— In which famous novel would you want to be (temporarily) a character? Which character?
Hmmm… That’s another tough one. (Who comes up with these topics, anyway?) LOL! I don’t really have a “favorite” character, hero or heroine.
I’ll probably be run out on a rail in today’s “liberated” female world, when I admit I would love to be Snow White or Cinderella (if they count for this question) when they get their prince and live Happily Ever After.
Ahh… It’s sad to say the “prince” does not seem to actually exist in the real world, but one can dream, can she not?
I’ve been in search of that HEA all my life. And now with my pending publication, I’ve made my own HEA!
On the other hand, I do not like to read about heroines who do stupid things and make such decisions (although I have). But I’ve TRIED to be strong! I do not like to read about wimpy heroes, either.
After reading Iris’ post on who she’d like to be, I guess it’s okay for me to want to be a hero instead of heroine. In that case, though I know it’s not “famous,” yet, I’d like to be my current hero in CONNECTIONS, The Trilogy. He is an age-old supernatural magician, and is the Master of his domain, where there is only one (the villain) who is more powerful than he is.
The heroine and the third main character in my plot challenge him at every turn. LOL!
I do not think I have answered today’s question very well (if at all), but at least I pondered on it and made a few stabs in the dark!
If you could be any character, real or fictitious, who would you be and why?

Arwen Evenstar would be my choice, from Lord of the Rings. Strong, independent, in love and standing by her man, not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. That’s who I pick. 🙂

Oh, Laurie! I wish I’d have thought of being her!

That’s not playing fair, Janette! YOU CREATED that character, it is a part of you in the book. And we don’t know this character…yet.

I agree, Tonette. I wish I had thought of the characters of TLTR, too. And as far as my “playing fair,” Tonette, I told you at the beginning of my post this was a hard subject for me to tackle! Can I help it if I am in Love with my “current” leading man? 😉

good for you Janette liking your character so much you actually want to be the person! And as for snow white and Cinderella … I wouldn’t necessarily like to deal with the evil witch or the step mother, but I can see where you’re coming from, and I have a feeling there are a LOT of women agreeing with you 😉

Well, it’s DAY TWO of this topic and I still don’t know what I’m going to write about.
Although, like Janette, I was thinking about mentioning one of my own characters.
Maybe I’ll poll some of the folks in my house this week (while my son and part of him family are visiting).
