A lot? Not!

I get an awful lot of fan mail, and I read all that I can.
John Denver

I’ve already told you all about my absent fan letters in my response to Iris’ post here.  But since that’s this week’s topic, I guess I’ll tell you all about it again, anyway.

I wish I could say the same as the talented John Denver did, but no, I have never received a “fan” letter.  I’ve heard such things as, “This is an AWESOME story!”  “I can’t wait to read the next!”  “Your writing flows,” “I’m so excited for you!”  “I am so proud of you!” and on…, but I have never received “an awful lot.”  So, I’ve given a verbal response each time, instead of a written letter.

The comments I’ve heard about my trilogy have made me feel so happy!  It’s like; I’ve found my gift/talent that I can make others happy in their enjoyment of my work.  I really CAN write!  🙂

How about you?  Have you found your given gift/talent?

First off, give it time. John Denver (may he rest in peace) had a LOT of his art out there before he started gaining accolades. Second, congrats on the stellar comments you’ve gotten! 🙂

Compliments such as those examples are warming to the heart and can keep a writer pounding at her/his keyboard in those cold & lonely hours.
That’s wonderful that your work has an encouraging following.
