“Hello, Possums!”

Welcome to 97th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar – there are 268 days remaining until the end of the year.

Anyway, before I dive into today’s subject, just wanted to emphasise how “trendy” or “up-to-date” or “with the times” the Four Foxes One Hound are. See, we talked about the universe and ETs out there during March and set an important topic with that. In fact so important, Bill Clinton felt the need to talk about it during one of his latest interviews!

Don’t forget, you heard it here first 😉

Today’s topic goes back to the subject of television. We’re being asked whether we would want to be interviewed on some of the big NYC Television programs?

Let’s rephrase the question to a more international level, because honestly, NYC TV programs? Sorry. No clue.

After all, we’re international here, right?

A few years ago, I would’ve answered straight away that I’d love to be on the BBC Michael Parkinson Show. I loved his program and I really liked him, too.
Then, a big YES PLEASE I’M BEGGING YOU let me be on “Wetten, dass…” a German entertainment program, although, I’d prefer it to be hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. I’ve always been a big fan of his!
As for more local TV programs, I’d probably be scared out of my brains, but being a guest on the Dame Edna show would be sensational. I’d probably be laughing non-stop or be plain embarrassed. That’s what she does to you 😉
Other programs that come to mind are Rove McManus Show (which doesn’t exist anymore), but I suppose more appropriate would be the “First Tuesday Book Club”.

Tell me about the big NYC Television programs you’d like to be part of!

  1. I wouldn’t want to be on any NYC interview show. I love my privacy.

  2. I have seen Michael Parkinson and I htink many Americans have at least a passing knowledge of “Dame Edna”.Many British shows are popular since BBC has cable channels here…which I don’t get, except BBC news, since I cut cable waaaaay back and watch most shows online. But every once ion a while my niece will call and say,”Get on Hulu,( or YouTune) and see [whomever] interview on [someone’s British] show.”
I’m still thinking about my answer, but then,I have until Thursday to keep thinking!

  3. Love Dame Edna! And going international, I’d want to be on the BBC Graham Norton show! 🙂 I’ve ever actually watched it all the way through… or more than like 2 minutes at a time, but I see the commercials and it looks like fun!
I have no clue what shows are filmed in NYC… And I live in the States… :/

    • That’s true, Kate! Iris, most celeb talk shows are in L.A. I think the Tonight Show may be headed back to NYC, so I heard.Letterman is,(unless they move it now that he is going out).Meet the Press is still in DC,I believe.

Yes, once in a while we “find” the Graham Norton Show on telly and like It as well. He brings out the witty side in his guests!

    Love the Bill Clinton clip!
I’ve also seen a famous clip in which Reagan spoke — live, so it couldn’t be suppressed — about how the earth’s nations would unite if we were invaded by aliens from space. In Reagan’s case, however, he appeared to have actually let something slip and he tried to recover from it (on live TV). Don’t recall his exact words, but it certainly sounded like he knew some things that the public didn’t know!

Nearly fell out of bed when I saw the Clinton interview last week. Her I struggle for a whole month to come up with anything “Alien” related and than the serve this one on a plate a week later. Too funny!
As for Reagan, not much I can remember about him. I was too young I suppose and not really up-to-date with Aliens 😉 LOL

lol, I usually don’t watch talk shows. I always end up falling asleep by the time they get to the interviews. Though my hubby likes Conan O’Brien, and we went to see the show when we were on our honeymoon in NYC (back when he was still with NBC). During the audience warm up before the show, Conan came out to interact with us and get us excited for the show, during which, he hit on me. o_O You know, licking his fingers to smooth out his eyebrows… Hubby and I were both too start struck to do much more than giggle. Haha! So, yeah, I guess I’d like to be on his show so I can address that. 😉

  6. BTW, Re:Clinton: DO you think that Clinton wouldn’t lie even if he knew there was proof? Not that Bill Clinton would EVER lie about ANYTHING!
This time, he’d be constrained in truth for the best reasons…to avoid mass panic, greater good, etc.

HA! We’re even now, Iris. I’ve never heard of the shows you mentioned here, save for Jimmy Kimmel and Bill Clinton. I especially enjoyed the Clinton clip you pasted in your post! Of course, my bf (the eternal conspiracy theorist) begs to disagree with Clinton. He says there ARE aliens at Area 51, “Clinton’s sworn to secrecy.” Your pic of Dame Edna is really WILD! LOL! Great Post!
