HAPPY EASTER
May I begin with a big thanks to Kate Belle for taking over my Monday blog last week talking about the popularity of Rural Romance. It was much appreciated to get some help. And a great post indeed!
Anyway … we’re back to the topic of TV, but before I dive into today’s topic, may I remind you all that tomorrow is Earth Day. 
Earth Day aims to inspire awareness of and appreciation for earth’s environment – and we need to do just that! We’re living in a fast-moving, throw-away society, we’ve forgotten to be more aware of what we’re doing to this great host. Please give it some thought tomorrow. The Earth and the future generation will thank you for it!
As for our TV topic … Is there any TV show of the past which you wish you could’ve appeared on?
Not really sure about the exact meaning of the question, let me bend it a little to what were you’re favourite TV shows of the PAST.
I was a TV-holic in my teenage years and as soon as I got home from work, I switched on the telly. Shows like Murder she wrote, The A-Team, Magnum PI, Charlie’s Angels, Trapper John, M.D. and Falcon Crest are the ones that come to mind.
Then there was my all time favourite German program “Wetten, dass.”

Okay, if the show is still on, but has been on for many years, can that count? Cause it would be my dream to be on Supernatural 🙂 But, beyond that, I was in the Easter production at church – but I was the behind the scenes narrator, I read into a mic but no one saw me ,and I was still a bundle of nerves!! I’m not meant to be on TV!

Yup … I used to watch Supernatural every week a few weeks back and then came along Bloody Mary and scared the jeepers out of me. Nowadays it’s on tv at a later timeslot and I keep missing the episodes, but I still like the guys … Good choice Kate!
LOL re the Easter production. It takes a special person to do that and with that I’m NOT saying you’re not. I’ve been doing radio for I think over 3 yrs now and still get nervous 🙂 Well done, though, for giving it a go! 🙂

I’m older than dirt, so I remember The Mickey Mouse Club show in black and white TV. To answer the first question, I used to sing and dance along with the mouseketeers and wish I could be one of them. I also remember The Patty Duke Show and wishing I had a cousin who looked like me. What a shock to discover I actually did have a cousin who looked a lot like me – but she lived on the other side of the world!

The premise of The Patty Duke Show was that she and a cousin looked exactly alike,(Patty played a duel role.) Patty was an All-American crazy teenager, whereas her cousin “Cathy”, was raised in England and was more refined.William Schallert played her father, and played a dual role when Cathy’s father came for a visit.

of the ones you mentioned, Iris, I also liked A-Team and Magnum PI. I watched the first few seasons of Charlie’s Angels, but lost interest when Farrah left the show.

A-Team and Magnum PI were classics. I really enjoyed them. It was the actors that made the show as well, no wonder the A-Team movie flopped!
Do I have to wait til Thursday for your favourite shows ? 😀

I’ll have to consider it all for Friday’s post. The Dick Van Dyke show would have been fun, maybe be a neighbor on the other side,(we only saw Millie and Jerry on one), or maybe another writer in the office.
