What children’s game to I still like to play and what game to I hope to never play with anyone again? Sigh, more memories I need to dig up.
I can say, that as a children’s game I liked, I still like to play board games like I’m sure I did as a child. I couldn’t really get into playing with my favorite toy of childhood, though. My favorite toys then were statue horses. It was fun to, like find a bunch of books (if there is no convenient linoleum with block print on the floor), and line them up on the floor and have horse races with the rolls of dice. It’s still fun now if I have a child to play with because they always get a kick out of it. It’s still fun for me to do as long as I play it with kids, too. 🙂
I don’t think there is a game I wish I never had to play again. My favorite game today is Blackjack! 🙂

Blackjack? Really? We never played cards that often, only with the grandmums – Canasta and Solitaire … Yes, we played Solitaire 30yrs ago w/out a computer … Woohooo

Solitaire w/o a computer?? LOL! Please don’t get me wrong, Iris. I did not start with Blackjack until I was grown and out of the house. I don’t remember ever playing cards as a child. You amaze me!! Never heard of statue horses?? They are miniature horses made of plastic.

Solitaire without a computer takes a good hand at shuffling.Believe e when I say I have played a lot of it….and recently did a few hands while I had a deck of cards in my hand. I recently discovered that I have a talent for spider solitaire…on the computer.
My niece has decided that she loves canasta…I don’t know that one.My mother’s family were famous for their all-night pinochle games….which I never took the time to learn.

My dad used to play solitaire (with a real deck of cards) as he watched TV in the evenings. He apparently couldn’t just sit still and watch.

LOL! My Daddy’s got yours beat as a multi-tasker. He used to sit in his chair, watch TV, read the newspaper, and sleep all at the same time! That’s a favorite memory I have!

I don’t know anything about Canasta or Pinochle, either. But I like solitaire. I know 3 or 4 different versions of the game. 🙂 Takes the monotony out of it and it reshuffles the deck by playing a different version each time.
