Happy Monday 🙂
Today is the 11 August, which is the 223rd day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 142 days remaining until the end of the year
Topic today: Mistaken identity: Have you ever been mistaken for someone else or mistaken someone for someone else? Seen or heard of one?
I’m sorry, but I give that one a miss and instead talk about snow.
You probably think it’s bizarre to write about snow, but, yes, at this end of the world, it’s sort of a novelty. We have snow about every year, but for about ten minutes. And it’s not really worth getting all hyped up about.
But last week…
It was divine. It snowed for about half an hour. It’s been the coldest weather since I’ve lived here. We woke one morning to -4.6 deg Celsius. FREEZING! Friday, the temperature was perfect for snow.
And it snowed. And snowed. And snowed.
It was amazing to see the “kids” of all ages come out to ‘touch’ and ‘experience’ the snow. People coming out of their houses with cameras to “catch” this event for all the social medias.

What might seem “normal” or “not even close” to what you experience in the northern hemisphere, was a day, people are still talking about!
Also this week:
I’ve released my third book in the Beginnings series 🙂
Have a great week, everyone.
Tat must have been fun for all of you,Iris! It certainly is beautiful…nice picture.
It rater depends on where you are in the U.S. Many parts to the south and southwest don’t experience snow, or do so rarely. There will sometimes be pictures in the newspaper or on TV of people experiencing a rare snow. It is especially fun to see teenagers who have never seen a ‘good’ snow throwing their first snowballs.
When I lived in Washington,D.C. we had people there from all over the world and many , even our own southerners or southwesterners had no idea how to drive in the snow and that was the most dangerous part of any snowfall.
I glad you could enjoy it.It must have been quite novel for your girls.

It was great, Tonette. Daughter #1 texted me she was so thrilled. Even hubby had a smile on his face when he came home to the chitter chatter about the snow 🙂
