Auf Wiedersehen …

It’s time to say farewell … or as we say in Germany “Auf Wiedersehen”, which means ‘until we meet again’. Much more appropriate, I believe.

Why do I leave this incredibly interesting blog, with incredibly wonderful people, who made me laugh, think and part of a great friendship?

Lack of time, I’m afraid.

Life’s got too busy, and it’s time to look after myself a bit more. But I won’t bore you with the detail, but might remind you of the great time we shared here.

Like: our James Bond months. Of course, I had to bring that up in the first sentence. It was one of the highlights of the year.

Like: bringing the attention of various “lesser known” illnesses to readers. We got sensational feedback for those posts.

Like: the various guests we’ve had. The foxes and our hound are always inviting interesting guests, and it’s been a pleasure getting to know them.

Like: my daughter’s take over on various Mondays. I am so proud of her, and she did so well expressing herself in words!

But, I have to admit, I’m a bit worried about who’s going to count down the days of the year for you all? Perhaps a little legacy I might leave behind ๐Ÿ™‚

With that said, today is the 25 August, which is the 237th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 128 days remaining until the end of the year. … And ….  whattayouknow it’s also ….. Sean Connery’s Birthday !!!!

Farewell, Goodbye, Au Revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Adiรณs, slรกn leat – I thank you all for a wonderful time.

As a present … it was “Be An Angel Day” last Friday, and I’m giving away ebooks of FRESH BEGINNINGS … feel free to enter.

And just saw the question! Most memorable would have to be my vacation to Mackinac Island in June this year. A beautiful island in northern Michigan and I got away and just took time to relax.

I think I saw that post … I remember someone saying it’s one of the most beautiful place in the US … I’d better add it to my list to see ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. I am truly going to miss you,Iris, for yourself, and for all the new elements your brought to the blog; you brought a large window that opened here.
I hope you will drop in whenever you have the time to see us and all you have to do is tell me when you’d like to do a guest blog…I think! we’re all counting on you coming in when you have a new book to tout.
So, good luck with the books and all of your work, your family and health. I will be seeing you on Facebook!

  4. I didn’t know you were leaving! WAAAAAA! Iris, I’m so sadden by this news, but I’m also very proud of you for eliminating the lower priority items in order to take care of yourself and other responsibilities!
I’m not sure how I will spend my Monday’s anymore without you counting down the days, but it has been a true pleasure to get to know more about you! Good luck!

    • Iris B says:

Thank you so much for you kind words Kate. I hope that I’ll now have the time not only to read, but comment on your posts as well ๐Ÿ™‚
And glad, someone enjoyed the “countdown” … LOL … but I’m sure whoever will follow into my “Monday” spot, will have something equally if not more interesting to talk about ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, even though you’d braced us in advance, I’m still sad to know that this is your final regular post here. [Though that won’t keep you from returning as a Guest Fox!]
I’ll miss the observations (and counting) of the Monday Fox … and certainly wish you well in every endeavor, whether family, job, or writing.
    Auf Wiedersehen

    • Iris B says:

Oh Jeff … it felt a little odd when I wrote the “last post”, but I know it’s for my personal benefit. I’ll still be stopping by to say hello ๐Ÿ™‚
And you never know, I might one day even make it to PT ๐Ÿ™‚

*Sniff, sniff* I’m going to miss you! I didn’t get over here nearly as often as I should (life getting in the way), but I truly enjoyed your post. I appreciated your beautiful view which reminded this American that it’s a much bigger world out there. I wish you well and I’ll still see you around. (I feel like that neighbor who pokes their head out of a bush just as the moving truck is about to pull away.) Best wishes in all your endeavors!

    • Iris B says:

Thank you Micki … thank god, I don’t have to pack anything though to leave, I’d’ve probably thought twice about it … LOL
I’ll see you somewhere in the www ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn’t comment much, but I checked in on your posts. You will be missed, but I think we all know what busy feels like. Best of luck, Iris!

I didn’t really get a chance to know you well, but I’m going to miss you, Iris! I’m sorry this is so late, but, well, you know. It’s been kinda hard to keep the high going of my last post here. But enough of that! I hope you check back in here from time to time!
