Movie Time

I like going to movies, don’t you?  For one thing the refreshments are better than what I have at home, and for another the movie just looks better on a big screen in a dark room. Since I’m a romance author I’ve seen lots or romantic movies. Can you guess the name of these movies? To make it harder most of the movies are older.

1.He was a paraplegic former Marine, and she lived on Pandora in the Alpha Centauri star system.

2.She called him Preppie, and his family disliked her, but nobody expected her to die of cancer.

    I correctly guessed 4, 5, 8, & 9.
I’ve seen Love story, but back when it first came out. I didn’t recall his nickname.

  2. Patricia Kiyono says:

All great movies, from what I’ve heard. I’ve seen 2, 4, and 9. I recognized a few others from their descriptions. My hubby doesn’t do movies, so I rarely go. Sometimes I’ll sit still long enough to watch them on TV later on.

  3. I’m afraid that some of those are just not my cup of tea, although I have an extensive list of my own for romance:

Return to Me: A man loses his wonderful wife in an accident, but her heart goes to another wonderful young woman. The accidentally fall for each other, but will the heart keep them apart?
While You Were Sleeping: A young woman adores a man from afar. When she saves his life but lays in a coma, she is mistaken for his fiancee. His brother falls for her.

Only You: A young woman is engaged to a good man, but is settling. The man whose name kept showing up through mysterious circumstances calls for him while he is out of town. She follows him to Italy with her bored sister-in-law in tow. Will they both find contentment?

Heart and Souls: Four people are killed in a bus accident that brings on the birth of a child in a car involved. With unfinished business, they are linked to the child. They realize they are harming him, so they go silent and unseen to him, until they find out when he is grown that they need his help to move on.

The Time Traveler’s Wife: Charming and sweet movie made from a harsh and unkind novel. Very touching.

There are many more in my heart and on my shelves!

While You Were Sleeping should have been on my list. It’s one of my all time favorites.
