Cowboy Ambushed in Time
By J. L. Salter
was released on Tuesday this week!
It’s Volume Two in the Series: Rose Roamer: Time Traveler
Tagline:
Last time, from 1885 to 1985— “Where to, now?”
Blurb:
Rose Roamer didn’t set out to become a time traveler. She and her brand new fiancé, Hunt Weston, just left 1985 south Alabama a moment ago. Now they’re huddled against a stone wall in a dark town somewhere else. Soon enough, they’re able to figure out their general location, but a lot depends on what year this is.
Things are moving fast. Just last week, Weston — a cowboy from 1885 East Texas — had traveled 100 years overnight, after sleeping in certain Native American Holy Ground… as instructed by his mentor, Merlin Vector. Weston only had a few days in Rose’s 1985 Alabama, so it won’t bother him too much to end up in any particular year… as long as he’s with his betrothed.
But Rose has spent her entire life in either Alabama or Tennessee — more importantly, in the second half of the twentieth century — so to her it matters a lot where she ends up… and WHEN.
All Rose knows about Vector’s time travel assignments is that he’d sent a bewildered cowboy stranger 100 years into the future to save her life. In that process, they’d also fallen hopelessly in love. Now that they’re engaged, she assumes they are both being assigned to save somebody else — but who? Why? Where? And, vitally, when?
They’re about to realize how little they know about their new assignment from the mysterious Mr. Vector, because he’s provided no explanations: just a torn poker card with a name, a place, and a date. Not much to go on when you zoom across time and space in the darkness.
A few things Rose knows for certain: it will be a lot different, quite difficult, and almost certainly dangerous. Something else on Rose’s troubled mind: who will they encounter in this different time and place?

actually, I have two more stories mapped out in this series, but have not yet drafted them. Nor do I have any guarantee that the publisher will want them.

Thanks, Sharon. But this is with the publisher who doesn’t release paperbacks until about 500 copies have been sold. It may be a few weeks… LOL
