Familiar Family Reading

Free Week and I am going to be hard pressed because I have Toddler Grandson and the D-in-Law coming. Her class reunion is down near Bowling Green, about one-hundred miles away, but her mother lives about 45 in the opposite direction, so mine will be the place to stay.

I don’t know how long they will be here, probably less than a week and with the traveling to  the reunion, to see extended family not far from the area there, and then up to see her mother and sister, I might not see a lot of them.
 However, seventeen-month-old Ben will be read to.

I held onto many books; the ones his dad and uncle wanted to hear over and over are mostly the ones that his eighteen-year-old brother wanted over and over.

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

The Happy Barnyard

Cars and Trucks

Going through some of the ones that I would like, he isn’t going to be ready to sit still for. I am till not all that sure that he will sit still for these. I started reading to my nieces, my sons and all of the grandkids when they were barely able to sit up,(and I am not sure that I didn’t start before then with this one’s big brother).

This one’s mother started later and he doesn’t sit still for her past a few pages.

I’ll work on it.

I’ll work on it because ever since he was born, I have been planning on using the video calls they make to me to read stories to him.

I expect to get to him eventually.

Then I want to hook him with chapter books and make him want to find out what is next!

So, if I don’t get back here to acknowledge you right away, I will be toddling around with a toddler.

It’s been a while, since the second youngest grandchild just turned fifteen.
