About Iris B

Iris Blobel writes warm, sexy, and sometimes witty Australian Contemporary Romance books for readers who, like herself, still strongly believe in love and Happily Ever Afters. And she knows HEAs. Her couples are hungry for life, done with the past, passionate about family, and emotionally hopeful for a future. The stories are mainly set in Australia but also in New Zealand and even the US, depending on where her travels take her. She loves nothing more than for her readers to join her on her journeys.

    Hi Iris,
Thank you for the opportunity to share. I’ve just finished The Go-Between by LP Hartley, now I’m going to see if I can find the film. In some respects the chief female protagonist Marion reminds me of Scarlett O’Hara. You can find the book here – http://www.amazon.com/Go-Between-York-Review-Books-Classics/dp/0940322994

Oh, my favourite book, hmmm – I can’t name just one, so I’ll name my go-to when I’m camping is The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes – http://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Sherlock-Holmes-Arthur-Conan-ebook/dp/B00851M3MY/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401093215&sr=1-1&keywords=the+adventures+of+sherlock+holmes

As for my own book – is still there – http://www.amazon.com/Moonstone-Obsession-Elizabeth-Ellen-Carter-ebook/dp/B00FYV5TSS/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1401093300&sr=1-1&keywords=moonstone+obsession

I’m waiting for my latest manuscript a medieval romance Warrior’s Surrender to find a publishing home and I’m currently writing a sequel to Moonstone Obsession called Moonstone Conspiracy.

    Awesome! 🙂

Okay, I’m not currently reading anything but that’s because I just finished A LASTING IMPRESSION by Tamera Alexander. http://amzn.com/B005UEXDVE It was a great book placed in post-Civil-War Nashville at the Belmont Mansion. Well-written, good read, nice romance with some mystery and adventure thrown in for good measure.

I have way too many favorites…and then my favorites change a lot…so I’m going to skip that one. (You said not to go overboard…and overboard’s *probably* an understatement for what I’d do if I got started on this one!) 😉

And lastly, one of my books. JUST DESSERT http://amzn.com/B00F2Z9X9M

Dessert…the perfect remedy when nothing in life seems to be going right.

What do you do when you are the sole protector of four children, your brothers and sisters? When each day is haunted by disappointment, disillusionment and desperation? When you believe that everyone who ever loved you, including God, has abandoned you?
You bake a pie, of course.

What do you do when you find a woman whose heart is consumed by fear? Who does not know how to trust? Who scoffs at your faith and throws your kindness back in your face?
You eat a pie, of course.

    Happy reading everyone!!

Hi there! My name is Obsession & I write urban drama & romance books. Thank you Iris for allowing me to share one of my babies! 😁
Oh! If you’d like a sneak peek of my upcoming erotic romance novel “Pleasure Palace” along with contest & giveaways, please leave your email address as a reply to this comment. THANKS!

If you were given only six months to a year to live, what would be your final good deed? Filled with love, humor and heart stopping suspense, you will find Gail Washington; a therapist is diagnosed with a monstrous disease. She arranges a sensual mixer in hopes that four individuals, who are also her clients, make a love connection. Nathaniel, a head strong seductive pediatric surgeon, has never met a woman that could handle him mentally or physically; that’s why Gail’s feisty secretary Zaya is perfect for him. Raven is the top male tennis player in the world. He quickly learns that with championships comes a lot of money and a lot of women; both of which he’s always had control over until he meets Morgan, a free spirited hairstylist that is drop dead gorgeous and emotionally elusive. Will Gail live to see her last wish granted? Will they surrender their hearts and fall passionately in love with one another? Or will Gail’s final act of kindness accompany her to the grave?”

Thanks so much Iris! This was a great idea. I only wish I had the covers of my two books to share here. I have my Astraea book hopefully coming out in late summer….Under Texas Blue Skies…a contemporary romance about a lost love and secrets that could keep two hearts apart forever. My second book will release in early fall….Runaway Hearts….and is another contemporary romance. At present, I have four other manuscripts out on reads to publishers and am busy writing on two more. Thanks again for the opportunity to share about my writing here!

My latest book The Magpie Chronicles is a diversivication from my normal genre of contemporary, Regency and light paranormal romance. It is based on the well known children’s magpie rhyme, One for sorrow, Two for joy… It is a collection of thirteen mixed genre short stories, one story for each line of the rhyme.

  13. Thanks so much for the chance to put a metaphorical leg out;) My book Unforgettable You was released two weeks ago and is all about a kickass lady who comes home from a difficult job on offshore oil rigs to find a naked man in her bed.

I know this is supposed to be all about our books, but I’d also highly recommend Sarah Belle’s Hindsight, Lily Malone’s Fairway to Heaven and Sandra Antonelli’s A Basic Renovation:) Because they’re all fantastic!
