Drawing a blank on what to say about another new year.
Starting out this year with a sinus infection, which makes me feel additionally blah.
So let me weasel out of this situation by posting a link to my blog at this same time LAST year:

And I’ll also add something I’ve seen a lot this week on FB [sorry I don’t know the author or illustrator]:

thanks, Mary Jane. Already feeling a little better, but I’m being very cautious about getting out and about in the winter weather.

Hi Jeff!
I checked out your blog this time last year. My Goodness! You sound like you’re busier as a retiree than when you weren’t. Not that I have ANY idea of how busy you were then, but I thought retired meant you had time to take life easy, which obviously you don’t. I hope you soon feel better, that all your hopes for 2013 worked out for you, and that they do this year, too. 🙂

Thanks, Janette. I thought about updating folks about which of those 2013 hopes came through … but it was so late and I was too tired. Lazy me.

Feel better and Happy New Year! Mr. T and I are both down with head/chest colds… not the most pleasant way to start the year, but at least we are getting getting sick out of the way early!

Thanks, Kate. I was supposed to go to the ‘Y’ today for my exercise … but just don’t feel well enough to expend the effort to drive there. Much less do the 80 mins. of exercise.

I was supposed to get off the couch for more than just more meds or water.. but nope.. not happening!

Oh Jeff, what a nasty way to start the new year. I hope you’re feeling much much better now … and that the rest of the year will be a really good one for you!
Are you affected by the “Artic cold snap” ?

Thanks. I believe I’m basically back in the pink. I’ve made two trips to the ‘Y’ for exercise since I started feeling better.
Of course, I’m not 100% — but that’s about par for the course in these past two decades.
