I’m a Guest Star on WHICH TV Show?

Which TV Show of the Past Would I Like to Appear On?

By Jeff Salter

LOL. Well, this answer has changed over the years.

As a young boy, I would have wanted to be on nearly any of the numerous westerns which were on every network at one time… and as a guest star, I would have wanted to be a skilled gunfighter with a heart of gold… and a fast horse.

As a young teen, I probably would have wanted to be on one of the several spy shows — not as numerous as the westerns had been, but still plentiful. As a guest star, I would have wanted to be a suave, skilled secret agent with a heart of gold … and a fast car.

But then came along Barbara Eden … right out of a genie bottle, on the Coco Beach in Florida. I had been to a beach in that region and it might well have been ME who discovered that magic bottle. So, the show I would have wanted to appear on as guest star would have been “I Dream of Jeannie.”

The episode would have featured ME in place of Maj. Tony Nelson. I would have been the one in that modern-looking beach house with the lovely blonde in her harem costume.

Yep. Can’t deny it, I had a thing for beautiful, kooky, female genies. I could scarcely believe that Maj. Nelson spent most of those five seasons running FROM Jeannie instead of chasing her. LOL.

Which TV show would YOU have wanted to appear on? What character would you play? What would the episode be about?

    What a photo – LOL

It felt a bit like listening to my husband. I’m sure he would’ve listed the same shows.

In fact I have a feeling I need to move, there’s a western starting on tv soon …. *sigh*

Hmmm…a guest star on a TV show of the past.
Dukes of Hazzard. Cute boys on the wild side with hearts of gold (wink, wink) and a fast muscle car that goes air born. What more could a girl ask for?

Thanks, Kate. I still struggle to understand how Maj. Nelson stayed in so much trouble with that military psychologist. That guy spent more time at the Nelson house than he did at his own place!

Gee, I have a lot to think about before tomorrow….no, I would NOT be Jeanie. (You’re off the hook there!)

My boyfriend would have liked to, um, with Genie, too. You men. LOL! Me? I don’t know what I posted here for this question, but right about now I think I would like to be one of the women in the James Bond films. Me and Sean Connery, ahhh 😉
